CKC Sporting Group
Origin & History
The French Spaniel (Épagneul Français) is one of France's oldest gun dog breeds, dating back to the 14th century. Developed as a versatile hunting companion, this breed excels at:
- Pointing game birds with natural elegance
- Retrieving on both land and water
- Working closely with hunters in varied terrain
Today, French Spaniels are prized for their balanced temperament and beautiful white-and-brown coat. They remain relatively rare outside France but are gaining recognition as exceptional family companions for active households.
